WE ARE A FAMILY ORIENTED FACILITY
Banks Farms Campgrounds was founded by Ruth & Fred Banks and is presently owned and operated by their daughter Camellia and her husband Mike Fitzgerald. Fred & Ruth moved from Barnardsville, North Carolina in 1974, and farmed their land for 30 years growing every thing from their first 60 acre tomato crop to their last 80 acre tobacco crop. The farm had a productive dairy for around 10 years and somewhere in the middle raised a few hogs. When farming just became to hard to make a living the only thing they had to rely on was the beautiful river that had blessed their property. From the suggestions of so many people that knew Ruth & Fred, they finally decided to turn their family farm, into their family campground. Fred & Ruth have two children Camellia (Camie) Fitzgerald and Fred Kates Banks. Their grandchildren are Elizabeth Carter (husband Matt Carter) and Wyatt Fitzgerald, and step granddaughter Melissa Fitzgerald.
Security patrol's are enforced through out our park for the safety of our visitors. Quiet time is from 11p.m. until 7a.m. and this is strongly enforced. The entry gate to the park is closed from 10p.m. until 8a.m. It is only closed to prevent midnight traffic thru the park. These gates are not locked in case of emergencies. We want everyone to have a happy, safe visit with us and enjoy themselves every time they come to Banks Farms Campground

Banks Farms Campground has over 100 full hook up campsites. Most are 50 ft wide. All are equipped with electric, sewer, and water. Primitive tent sites are marked and we have two shower houses, a laundry room, and pool. This year we have added a Primitive Cabin on our campground. The cabin is complete with wood cook stove a queen size bed on the bottom level and a twin bed in the loft. (PHOTO TO BE POSTED SOON) Banks Farms Campground also has a division on the upper side of the farm property we have built a 300X200 Equine Arena. The arena will be having many different events and the campers from the campground are welcome to participate or come watch. The name of our arena is Nolichuckey Showgrounds & Arena. Such events as Horse Shows, Cattle Sorting, and Cowboy Mounted Shooting are just a few of the things planned for this year. The outer fields of the arena are used for other speciality events such as the Lawnmower Tractor Pulls and a corn field for our Corn Maze this Fall. The plans for our Corn Maze are to have a Haunted Maze during the month of October and a Day for Mounted Shooting Maze will be planned this season also. COME ON DOWN TO THE CAMPGROUND! We look forward to meeting you. We're sure to have a little something for most everyone. If you just want peace and quiet you can find it here too. Just come check us out!

Our Family would like to extend an open invitation to your family, to come out and camp down by the river. Mike & I love and appreciate our family and friends and always enjoy meeting new people. Nothing in the world is more important than family and god. Spend a special day with your children or spouse. Create a memory. A camp out with the kids, fishing in the river for peace of mind, reading a book by the pool, drop by for a picnic. Take time for you once in a while. We are only given one life to live. How do you want to remember it?
